To cultivate the diffusion and development of chess as a constructive outlet for the youth of our community by setting up classes for beginners and clinics for youngsters, and holding simultaneous exhibitions.

To bring into one organization all people in the U.S. Virgin Islands desiring to promote chess, which is one of the most ancient, intellectual, and cultural sports, combining elements of sport, scientific thinking and the arts.

To coordinate tournaments and other chess activities among the several islands.

To provide a unified and harmonious voice to represent the U.S. Virgin Islands in international competition.

To unite with similar organizations in other countries to represent the U.S. Virgin Islands in the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and the Caribbean zone.

Two female teenagers attended the Pan American Chess festival in Cali Columbia. A university student represented us at the World University Games in China.
