FIFA Vice-President Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein to Visit the USVI Soccer Association

The USVI Soccer Association will host FIFA vice president, Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, during his visit to St. Croix on February 27.

Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein will meet with the USVI president Hillaren Frederick and general secretary Keithroy Cornelius. There are plans to visit the site of the USVI Soccer Association’s goal project near the Bethlehem area. The project is still under construction but is to include an office building and accompanying parking lot as well as soccer fields, training facility and grandstand. The project is set to be completed in 2016.

Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein will oppose the incumbent Joseph Blatter in the upcoming election for FIFA president. Prince Ali is president of the Jordan Football Association. He is also the president and founder of the West Asian Football Federation. He was elected vice president representing Asia in January 2011. Prince Ali is also serving as a member of the FIFA Executive Committee and the AFC Executive Committee.
